Job Summary

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering software/IT projects within scope, timeline, and budget. This role bridges communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are clearly defined and successfully implemented. The TPM will oversee project lifecycle management, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive continuous improvement in delivery processes.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and documentation.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution of technical projects (software development, integrations, system upgrades, cloud migrations, etc.).

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact between technical teams, business units, and external vendors.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and prepare progress reports for senior leadership.

Technical Leadership

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Work closely with developers, QA engineers, architects, and DevOps teams.
  • Ensure technical solutions align with architectural standards and best practices.

Risk & Issue Management

  • Identify project risks, blockers, and dependencies.
  • Develop mitigation plans to ensure timely delivery.
  • Proactively manage changes in scope and priorities.

Process & Quality Management

  • Drive Agile/Scrum methodologies (daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Ensure documentation, testing, and delivery standards are met.
  • Improve internal processes to increase project predictability and efficiency.

Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Track project costs, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with team leads to ensure optimal workload distribution.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience managing technical or software development projects.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and modern DevOps practices.
  • Technical background in software engineering, infrastructure, or systems integration (hands-on experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Trello, MS Project, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project management certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, CSM, PMI-ACP).
  • Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity and experience in delivering D365 projects.
  • Exposure to cybersecurity, data analytics, or SaaS environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
