We are looking for an experienced D365 Business Central Senior Consultant, Team Lead, to lead multiple implementation projects while guiding project teams, managing client relationships, and delivering high-quality ERP solutions.

Position Summary

The D365 Business Central Senior Consultant, Team Lead will lead multiple Business Central implementation projects simultaneously. This role requires deep hands-on Business Central expertise, strong manufacturing and finance process knowledge, and proven experience leading teams in fast-paced consulting engagements.

The ideal candidate is a strategic, client-facing consultant who can translate business needs into scalable ERP solutions, manage implementation priorities, delegate work effectively, mentor junior consultants, and ensure projects are delivered with quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central implementation projects concurrently.
• Manage project priorities, timelines, deliverables, risks, and resource coordination across engagements.
• Delegate tasks effectively and provide direction to junior consultants and project team members.
• Conduct onsite and remote discovery sessions to gather business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate directly with business stakeholders, executives, finance teams, and operational leaders throughout the implementation lifecycle.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly to clients and internal leadership.

Functional Consulting & Solution Delivery

• Configure, customize, test, and deploy D365 Business Central solutions based on customer requirements.
• Provide functional expertise across manufacturing processes, finance and accounting operations, supply chain, and operational workflows.
• Lead full lifecycle implementations including requirements gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, training, go-live support, and post-implementation optimization.
• Translate business requirements into practical system solutions and clear functional documentation.
• Apply implementation best practices to improve solution quality, user adoption, and long-term system stability.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong client relationships through exceptional service, proactive communication, and reliable follow-through.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients during implementation and optimization projects.
• Help clients understand options, risks, trade-offs, and recommended approaches.
• Partner with clients to identify process gaps, improvement opportunities, and practical ERP solutions.

Training, Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

• Develop and maintain project documentation, configuration notes, process documentation, and implementation artifacts.
• Support end-user and system administrator training in onsite and remote formats.
• Assist with internal academy-led training initiatives and knowledge-sharing programs.
• Mentor junior consultants and help strengthen internal Business Central delivery capabilities.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve implementation methodologies, delivery templates, internal processes, and best practices.
• Stay current on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central capabilities, ISVs, add-ons, and industry trends.
• Participate in company trainings and pursue certifications as needed.
• Share lessons learned from projects to improve consistency and delivery quality across the consulting team.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or Dynamics NAV implementation experience.
• Strong expertise in manufacturing operations, finance and accounting modules, and ERP implementation leadership.
• Proven experience leading multiple ERP projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, delegate tasks, and mentor junior consultants.
• Full lifecycle implementation experience across finance and operations modules.
• Experience working within consulting, professional services, or ERP implementation environments.
• Strong communication, organization, documentation, problem-solving, and client-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with clients in Manufacturing, Distribution, or Life Sciences.
• Experience with Business Central add-ons and ISVs such as InsightWorks, Multi-Entity Management (MEM), or other BC ecosystem solutions.
• Microsoft certifications related to Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Experience supporting solution demos, discovery workshops, process improvement initiatives, or pre-sales conversations.
