What is BOLDBelief?

We are passionate about using technology to solve complex business problems. We created AlphaBOLD because we felt the need to redefine success in consulting. Now we are doing it one project at a time. We are not just building a successful business, we are rather building a community, BOLDCommunity that shares our passion for technology. At BOLD we don't settle for ordinary. We strive for excellence and we do it together with our partners, customers and vendors.

We have a diverse culture at AlphaBOLD where BOLDEnthusiasts with different backgrounds have come together to create BOLDSolutions. We strive every day to meet expectations of BOLDCommunity and instill our core values of trust and accountability in everything we do. We also feel a sense of obligation towards people and societies that helped us get here. That is why we have made BOLDBelief our core value. BOLDBelief is our effort to work with BOLDCommunity to give back to our society and make an impact beyond technology frontiers. As part of BOLDBelief, we give 10% of our profit back to the community. This portal is helping us in democratizing the process of giving back.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevent

No Banner Image found

Background: The grassroots work we do focuses on eliminating the loss of life from suicide by: delivering innovative prevention programs, educating the public about risk factors and warning signs, raising funds for suicide research and programs, and reaching out to those individuals who have lost someone to suicide. As a part of AFSP’s growing nationwide network of chapters, we bring together people from all backgrounds who want to prevent suicide in our communities. Families and friends who have lost someone to suicide, vulnerable individuals, mental health professionals, clergy, educators, students, community/business leaders, and many others energize our chapter.

Donation Purpose: Project 2025 Our bold goal. Despite the fact that more is being done today to prevent suicide than at any other time in history, the rate of suicide continues to rise in the United States. Led by the largest suicide prevention organization in the United States, with guidance from the top minds in the field and dynamic data modeling, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention has determined the programs, policies and interventions that will prevent as many suicides as possible. Project 2025 is the collaborative effort to implement and scale these strategies nationwide.

Hope in a Suitcase

No Banner Image found

Background: Hope in a Suitcase is a volunteer-driven, nonprofit group benefiting foster children. Our mission is simple. We provide children and teens in foster care with a suitcase, along with basic essentials and comfort items, to make their transition into the foster care system and their circumstances just a little bit easier and more dignified.

Donation Purpose: Hope in a Suitcase Approximately 35,000 youths are in foster care in Los Angeles County alone. Many children do not have a suitcase or a duffel bag when they enter foster care, especially in emergency situations. They often have to bring whatever belongings they can fit into a plastic trash bag. And, unfortunately, the foster families welcoming the children have had very little time to prepare for their arrival. Despite efforts to provide a stable family environment for each child, some children in foster care have to move several times before being reunified with their birth-families or before finding a forever family through legal guardianship or adoption. Without a suitcase or duffel bag of their own, their belongings are often carried from placement to placement in a pillow case or a trash bag. Our hope is to provide a personalized suitcase, with essentials, to the children of Los Angeles as they enter foster care and as they join a loving foster family. The intent of our gesture is to not only reassure children that we value them as individuals, but also that their personal belongings deserve the same respect and care as they do, no matter where they go. Recognizing the unique needs of older youth to choose their own items, Hope in a Suitcase hosts regular Shopping Days where referred foster tweens and teens can shop – entirely free of charge – for new clothing, luggage, and books. Our Shopping Days allow foster youth, who often feel like they are at the mercy of other people's decisions, the opportunity to choose the items that make them feel great and which fit their personal body types, tastes and needs. OUR MISSION Our mission is to provide children and teens in foster care with a suitcase/duffel bag, along with basic essentials and comfort items, to make their transition and circumstances just a little easier. We want children to enter a new foster family and/or school community with dignity, and without the lasting memory of arriving with a trash bag Hope in a Suitcase's current program concentration is in the Greater Los Angeles area. As we expand, we will be sure to let everyone know!

SUNDAS FOUNDATION – PLAY YOUR PART IN SAVING LIVES

No Banner Image found

Background: Sundas Foundation is a pioneer of voluntary blood transfusion services currently operating in Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Gujrat. Over the years, Sundas Foundation has been tackling the issues related to the blood transfusion services at a fairly large scale. Sundas Foundation is registered as a member of Thalassemia International Federation (T.I.F.) and World Hemophilia Federation. During the period of Twenty Two (22) years Sundas Foundation has supplied more than 406,482 units of healthy and screened blood bags and blood products. At present, Sundas Foundation supplies more than 250-300 units of blood and blood products every day. This constitutes around 40–50% of the total requirement of blood and blood products in Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Gujrat. All this would not have been possible without the whole-hearted support Sundas Foundation receives from the medical community, government, corporate sector and the public at large especially the students of colleges & universities.

Donation Purpose: WHAT HELP WE NEED FROM YOU? Blood Kits Blood Screening Kits are required to perform screening tests on blood bags to ensure that the blood donated by donors is completely healthy and save for transfusion. A single Blood Screening Kit can perform Approximately 500 blood tests. As we do not compromise on quality and hence, we use state-of-the art technology and high-quality equipment to prevent affected blood transfusion. Blood Bags: A single Blood Bag can save up to 3 valuable lives. Sundas Foundation requires at least 1,000 blood bags every month to cater the needs of blood transfusion to the Thalassemic, Hemophilic and Blood Cancer Patients. Injections and Tablets: Once the blood is transfused to the Thalassemic, Hemophilic or a patient suffering from other blood disorder, the level of iron increases in their body. To control the iron level in the patient’s body, they need to be given iron Chelation Thraphy with Tablets and Injections especially in Thalassemia. MUNNOO BHAI MEMORIAL HOSPITAL Sundas Foundation is constructing the state-of-the-art and purpose built Thalassemia hospital in Lahore to provide patient care services to Thalassemic & Hemophilic patients. This is a huge project and a great initiative for which the land has already been acquired and construction work is being planned to be started soon. Our donors have donated generously but we still need your assistance to complete the construction of Sundas Foundation’s Hospital Project. Financial Assistance: We need continuous financial assistance to manage & effectively run our operations & provide services to the Thalassemic and Hemophilic patients that are generally offered free of cost.

BOLDEnthusiast response to COVID-19

As you all know we are going through unprecedented times. I want BOLDEnthusiasts to think of ideas on how we can help larger BOLDCommunity. I am proposing two ideas. Our biggest problem is that we cannot be on the ground but that is also an opportunity on how we can leverage technology to help others. 1. US focused (unless we build something similar in Pakistan or if there is already a service in Pakistan) a. Identify up to three households in your neighborhood with senior citizen above the age of 60. Establish communication with them and deliver grocery to them using instacart. AlphaBOLD will pay for service charges you pay to deliver grocery to them so they don't have to go out of their houses. You can just submit expense reimbursement. 2. Pakistan focused a. If we don't have a similar service as mentioned above then we should find a way to donate money to a trust or organization that is trying to provide food to people during this lock down. I would like to recommend Saylani Trust. https://www.saylaniwelfare.com/home Please vote for this if you agree. If you have better ideas then please create causes so people could vote for those. We do need to move quickly on this because this needs to happen now. -Tayyab

Donate for Covid-19 Medical supplies

https://www.projectcure.org/procure As hospitals across the U.S. brace for a surge in patients, health care workers say the protective measures taken over the next few weeks will be critical, according to CBS News' Carter Evans. Some government leaders worry the coronavirus pandemic could stretch hospitals to their breaking point while medical equipment shortages threaten to put doctors, nurses and patients at risk. "Nurses are being asked to actually reuse masks, including surgical masks, which provide no protection," Executive Director of National Nurses United Bonnie Castillo said. The medical supplies and medical equipment Project C.U.R.E. delivers to severely resource-limited communities save lives, make diagnosis and treatment possible, protect health workers and ensure better outcomes for surgery and emergency care. ProC.U.R.E. is Project C.U.R.E.’s linchpin program, through which we receive medical supplies and equipment from U.S. hospitals, medical manufacturers, wholesale distributors and individual donors. We operate large distribution facilities across the United States where we receive, process and ship these generous in-kind donations to hospitals, clinics and community health centers in need around the world. Because of our large international distribution network, almost every type of medical item can be accepted, and all donations are receipted for tax purposes.
