Position Overview

We’re seeking a Sr. Software Engineer – AI who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience building AI-powered applications and agents. This role sits at the intersection of traditional full-stack development and the emerging field of agentic AI, working on projects that leverage large language models (LLMs), Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and Azure AI services to solve complex business problems.

The ideal candidate is equally comfortable building robust APIs and user interfaces as they are designing AI agent architectures, implementing RAG patterns, and integrating LLM capabilities into enterprise workflows. You will collaborate closely with the US-based practice leadership and work on high-visibility client projects.

Key Responsibilities

AI Agent Development

• Design, develop, and deploy AI agents using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Foundry, and custom LLM integrations
• Build declarative agents for Microsoft 365 Copilot with custom instructions, knowledge sources, and actions
• Implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) architectures using vector databases and enterprise knowledge sources
• Develop plugins and connectors to extend Copilot capabilities with external systems and APIs
• Create agentic workflows using prompt engineering, MCP (Model Context Protocol), and guardrail mechanisms

Full Stack Development

• Build scalable web applications using modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue, or .NET/Blazor)
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Python, Node.js, or .NET Core
• Design and implement data pipelines for AI/ML model training and inference
• Create intuitive user interfaces that seamlessly integrate AI capabilities
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following software engineering best practices

Microsoft Ecosystem Integration

• Integrate AI solutions with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• Build and deploy solutions on Azure (App Services, Functions, Microsoft Foundry, OpenAI Service)
• Implement Microsoft Graph API integrations for enterprise data access
• Work with SharePoint, Teams, and Microsoft 365 APIs for enterprise deployments

Collaboration & Delivery

• Collaborate with US-based practice leadership and cross-functional teams
• Participate in client calls, demos, and technical design discussions (flexible hours may be required)
• Contribute to architecture reviews, code reviews, and knowledge sharing
• Document agent logic, API specifications, and system architectures

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from a recognized university
• 5-8 years of professional software development experience
• Demonstrated experience building production applications
• Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)

Technical Skills (Must Have)

• Strong proficiency in at least one full stack: MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), MEAN, .NET/C#, or Python/Django/FastAPI
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure strongly preferred, AWS/GCP acceptable)
• Working knowledge of LLMs and AI/ML concepts (prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search)
• Experience with REST APIs, microservices architecture, and modern development practices
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies
• Strong SQL and database design skills (relational and/or NoSQL)

Preferred Qualifications (Big Plus)

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio building declarative agents or custom copilots
• Experience building AI agents using frameworks like LangChain, Semantic Kernel, AutoGen, or CrewAI
• Microsoft Foundry / Azure OpenAI Service experience
• Microsoft 365 Agents SDK experience
• Power Platform development (Power Automate, Power Apps, Dataverse)
• Experience with document processing, OCR, or computer vision applications
• Microsoft certifications (Azure AI Engineer)
• Understanding of MCP (Model Context Protocol) and agentic AI patterns
• Previous experience working with international/US clients
