Do I need to convert my existing PBIX files to PBIR immediately?

No. Existing PBIX files continue to function and are not immediately deprecated. However, all new reports created in Power BI Desktop from May 2026 onward default to PBIR. We use QuickBooks Online as a Power BI data source. What are our options?

The native QuickBooks Online connector was retired as of March 2026.
